Before being accepted for sale on the pharmaceutical market, Propecia has undergone extensive clinical trials which have determined that its use does not constitute a risk to health, provided you are following the indications for use. Propecia may in rare cases induce the appearance of mild side effects in a small percentage of patients (about 2%). Men have reported such adverse reactions as:
Reduced libido
Difficulties in maintaining erections
Low semen volume
The above-mentioned factors, however, do not make having sex impossible.
Rarely patients report:
Allergic reactions such as rash or itching
Mammary gland and testicle tenderness
The treatment does not lower psychomotor skills, so it does not affect your ability to drive or operate machines.
If during the treatment you notice other and/or more severe side effects, you should contact your doctor immediately.
