Femodene
Femodene are contraceptive pills with two active ingredients, which are synthetic female sex hormones: ethinylestradiol and gestoden. Ethinylestradiol is a synthetic counterpart of estrogen, which prepares the uterus mucous membrane for the egg implantation. During the Femodele treatment these hormones are not produced, therefore the chance of egg implantation is close to none. Gestoden, on the other hand, is a counterpart of 3rd generation progesterone.
Femodene contraceptive pills influence also the density of cervical mucus, which makes it difficult for the sperm to reach to the ovum. The combination of these two synthetic hormones gives Femodene an almost 100% pregnancy prevention rate.
